A Chase checking statement is not one table — it is a summary box and then a list per kind of transaction, with the balances kept somewhere else entirely. That is the part that trips up every converter, and this page is honest about what it means for the arithmetic.
Four things worth knowing before you convert one.
After the CHECKING SUMMARY box the statement splits transactions by kind: deposits and additions, checks paid, ATM and debit card withdrawals, electronic withdrawals, fees. Each section is its own small table with its own heading, and a reader that assumes one table will happily turn those headings and section totals into transactions.
The running balance is not printed on the transaction lines. It lives in a separate DAILY ENDING BALANCE table — one figure per date. This is the single biggest difference from a European statement, and it is why a converter can tell you nothing about whether it read your Chase statement correctly.
Our check compares each balance with the one above it, so on a statement with no balance column it cannot run, and the page says so instead of claiming an accuracy figure. What you get instead: every row read, the totals of money in and out, and the summary box to compare them against — beginning balance plus deposits minus withdrawals should be the ending balance.
Chase prints 03/04, not 03/04/2026. The year comes from the statement period at the top of the first page, which is why a statement split into separate PDFs per page can come out with the wrong year — convert the whole document.
No column headings were found, so the columns were identified from the running balance alone. Check a few rows before you rely on it.

They are already read and checked in this tab. A pass unlocks every row of every file you convert over the next 7 days, in this browser.
The workbook carries a second sheet, Warnings: every row whose balance does not follow from the row above, with the balance your statement shows next to the one the arithmetic expects. It says so plainly when there is nothing to check.
The best bank statement converter is the bank, when it will do it.
In Chase online banking, open the account, then Account activity → Download. It offers CSV for a spreadsheet and QFX, QBO or OFX for Quicken and QuickBooks, covering the period the account still shows. Those files carry the data as data, with no reading step at all. Start there.
Months that have rolled off online banking. A closed account. A statement someone emailed you as a PDF. A landlord, an accountant or a visa application that asked for the statement itself rather than an export. In every one of those the PDF is all there is.
If the destination is QuickBooks Desktop or Quicken, bank statement to QBO builds the bank file directly from the same PDF, so you skip the spreadsheet in the middle.
Statements change, and yours may not look like this. Drop it anyway: the reader works from the layout in front of it rather than from a template per bank, and the balance check reports what it actually found.

Because a Chase checking statement does not print one next to the transactions. That is a fact about the document, not a failure of the reader: the balances are in the daily ending balance table instead. We would rather say so than quietly show a confidence number that means nothing.
Yes, and the same limitation applies more strongly: a card statement has no running balance at all, only transactions and a summary of previous balance, payments, purchases and new balance. Check the totals on screen against that box.
Both sets of transactions are read, one after the other, as they appear in the PDF. They arrive in one sheet, so sort or filter by description afterwards — or split the PDF by account first, which also keeps any balance checking meaningful.
No. There is no server here that accepts files. The PDF is opened by code running in this browser tab, and the spreadsheet is written here too; you can watch the network panel stay empty while it works.
